Booking & Payment
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. The remaining balance is due either the day before or on the day of your photo session.
Your booking is only confirmed once the deposit has been received. Deposits are non-refundable but may be transferred to a new date if rescheduling occurs within the time frames outlined below.
Please note that editing and image delivery will only begin once full payment has been received. Any delay in payment may result in a delay in receiving your final images.
Gift Vouchers:
Gift vouchers are available and can be purchased for any session or package.
- Gift vouchers are valid for six months from the date of purchase.
- Full payment is required before the voucher is issued.
- Gift vouchers will be sent digitally via WeTransfer or DropBox.
Rescheduling, Cancellations, Session Timing
Rescheduling: Clients may reschedule their session once, provided at least two business days’ notice is given and the new date is subject to availability.
Rescheduling with less than two business days’ notice may incur a rescheduling fee.
Cancellations: Cancellations within one business week forfeit 50% of the deposit. Cancellations within 2 business days forfeit 100% of the deposit.
The Client must arrive on time and be ready for the shoot. Delays will shorten the session time. Styling, grooming, and wardrobe are the responsibility of the client unless professional services have been booked in advance.
Outdoor Portraits & Weather:
If weather conditions are unsuitable for your outdoor session (e.g., heavy rain, strong winds, or other unsafe conditions), we can:
- Reschedule your session to another mutually available date, or
- Move the session to the studio, if possible, to ensure your portraits are captured beautifully.
Travel
Each photography package includes a travel allowance, as specified in the package details.
For locations beyond the stipulated travel allowance, an additional travel fee of R6.00 per kilometre will apply, calculated on the additional distance travelled.
Please note that the included travel allowance relates to distance only and does not necessarily include the travel time required to reach the location. Where extended travel time, limited accessibility, or multiple locations are involved, an additional charge may apply.
Any applicable travel charges will always be discussed and agreed upon before your booking is confirmed.
Image Selection & Delivery
Unless otherwise requested, Katharine Linder Photography will carefully select the best images from your session for editing and delivery.
If you would like to personally select your preferred images, please let me know on the day of your session so that arrangements can be made.
You will receive a sneak peek of your photos approximately one week after your session so you can get an early look at some of your beautiful images.
Your final edited images will be delivered three weeks from your photo session date. Expedited delivery may be available at an additional cost but must be arranged in advance.
Please note that this three-week period allows time for careful editing and attention to detail, ensuring that your final images are of the highest quality.
If you need your photos sooner (for example, for an event or special deadline), please let me know on the day of your session so I can see if an earlier delivery can be arranged.
Image Use & Privacy
The client receives a personal-use licence for the images. Katharine Linder Photography retains full copyright and may use selected images for promotional purposes, including website, portfolio, and social media, unless the client requests otherwise in writing in advance.
Editing & Retouching
All delivered images include standard colour correction and are professionally edited to maintain a natural and polished look. Requests for additional or detailed retouching can be accommodated at an additional fee.
Liability
In the unlikely event of equipment failure, illness, or unforeseen circumstances beyond control, Katharine Linder Photography will make every effort to reschedule the session or refund any payments made.
While every care is taken during the photo session and image processing, Katharine Linder Photography cannot be held liable for circumstances beyond reasonable control.
Acceptance of Terms
Booking your session means you’ve read and agreed to the Terms & Conditions outlined by Katharine Linder Photography.By booking a session, the Client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
